Description:
A flour-less dark chocolate delight. Delicious dessert for chocolate lovers who don't want the fuss of of making a full cake. It is so simple and fast that you will be done before you know it.
Ingredients:
8 ounces of dark chocolate (at least 70% cacao)
6 eggs
1 cup of butter (or other vegetable oil)
1 cup of organic cane sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (or other flavoring agent, such as liquers)
pinch of salt (optional)
Special equipment: A souffle pan
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 325 F.
Melt chocolate; melt butter. Mix chocolate and butter in a bowl. In a separate bowl combine all eggs, sugar and vanilla, and whip until frothy. Slowly add egg mixture to chocolate-butter batter and fold in evenly.
Spray souffle pan with vegetable oil lightly. Pour in batter and place in oven to bake for approximately 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out cleanly when pricked.
After removing from oven, let sit for 5 minutes and then place cake-plate over souffle pan and flip cake out smoothly. Garnish with powdered sugar, dust with cocoa, serve with ice cream or any other way which suits you best.
